Connected workspace
FLOW_01 A MIDI file stores musical instructions rather than recorded sound. Miditor shows those instructions as tracks, measures, notes, tempo changes, velocities and controller events. You can hear the arrangement while following the piano roll, making it easier to identify the part that needs attention. FLOW_02 Once you understand the arrangement, continue in the same session instead of uploading the file to another service. Draw or resize notes, move passages, adjust velocity, change instruments, organize tracks and refine the tempo map. FLOW_03 Save an edited MIDI when another sequencer or hardware device still needs note data. Render WAV when you want uncompressed audio for mixing, video work or archiving. Choose MP3 when file size and easy sharing matter more than lossless quality. Practical by design
WHY_01 There is no registration screen between you and the editor. Open the tool, choose a local MIDI file and begin. This makes Miditor useful for quick checks as well as longer editing sessions, especially on computers where installing music software is inconvenient.
WHY_02 Opening, inspecting, editing and rendering a local file happens in the current browser session. The normal editor workflow does not require the MIDI file to be transferred to Miditor. This local-first boundary reduces unnecessary waiting and gives private sketches, client arrangements and classroom exercises a clearer place to stay.
WHY_03 Playback, editing and audio export are marked Live. Research pages for assisted composition and notation are labeled Roadmap or Research until the tools are actually available. Clear status labels help you choose a working path today without mistaking a future idea for a finished feature.

Choose the right workspace
Miditor is built for focused jobs: previewing an unfamiliar file, studying an arrangement, correcting notes, changing track settings, or rendering audio without installing a full production suite. It works on supported modern browsers across desktop and mobile devices, although available memory and file-picker behavior vary by device.
For audio recording, plug-ins, advanced automation or detailed mixing, use a desktop DAW. Miditor stays focused on MIDI inspection, editing and conversion.
During the normal player, editor and converter workflows, your local MIDI content is parsed and processed on your device rather than uploaded to Miditor. The website can still request ordinary application assets, analytics or public catalog data. Those requests are separate from transferring the MIDI file you opened.
