A browser editor is useful for focused changes: correcting notes, reorganizing tracks, adjusting tempo events, testing instruments or preparing a file for audio export. Because the normal workflow reads the MIDI locally, you do not need to send an unfinished composition to Miditor.
A full desktop DAW remains the better choice for recording audio, hosting plug-ins, advanced automation or detailed mixing. Miditor is designed for direct MIDI inspection and editing when installing a larger production environment would add unnecessary friction.
MIDI editor FAQ
No. The MIDI editor parses and edits local files in your browser. Your file is not uploaded to Miditor during the normal editing workflow.
Yes. Open a MIDI file to use the piano roll, arrangement view, tempo editor, track controls and event tools without installing desktop software.
Yes. Choose Create blank MIDI on the editor start screen, then add tracks and notes directly in the piano roll.
Miditor does not set a published file-size limit. Practical capacity depends on the file's complexity, your browser and the memory available on your device.
The editor downloads a standard MIDI file. Most DAWs and notation applications can open it, although instrument mapping and less common events may be interpreted differently by each application.
